Musculoskeletal disorders are the most common form of work related ill health in britain, affecting approximately 1.5 billion people every year.

Office workers are just as likely to suffer from these conditions as manual workers, despite the latter often having more physically demanding work.Dramatic increases in technology in recent years have seen an increasing demand on office workers. Staying healthy at work is dependent upon the balance between the demands of the work tasks and a persons individual capabilities. This is also affected by the work environment. If the demands of the task ( either physical or mental) are greater than a persons capabilities
