Claire qualified as a chartered physiotherapist in 1994 and worked for 6 years in the NHS before moving into the private sector. She has an MSc in ergonomics from the University of Derby and has worked as an ergonomic consultant to both individuals and large organisations, including the NHS and a variety of private sector companies. She is also a guest lecturer in ergonomics at the Brunel University. Claire is a qualified Nutrition Advisor and is currently studying for a diploma in naturopathic nutritional therapy. She is an Associate member of the NNA. In her spare time Claire is a triathlete and marathon runner and has a special interest in nutrition and sporting injuries, especially those related to running and cycling.
Sergio trained in Portugal and graduated in 2010 from the Health Superior School of Vale do Sousa University (OPorto), with a first class honours degree. After completing his physiotherapy degree, he went to Castilla La Mancha University (Madrid) to study as a post graduate in Myofascial Pain/ Dysfunction. Before joining Back on Track Sergio worked in Portugal, predominantly in private clinics and with athletes, where he gained extensive knowledge in musculoskeletal conditions and sport injuries. A “Hands-On” physiotherapist, Sergio uses a range of manual therapy techniques during the treatments.
She has a broad range of clinical experience in treating musculo-skeletal problems. Her Special interests include sport injuries especially the treatment and management of running injuries. As well as Sports injuries she enjoys the assessment and management of work related health. She offers work station assessments at your place of work, delivering the advice, education and adjustments necessary to remain pain free at work. Sheena is also a modified Pilates Instructor (Pilates exercises clinically modified to be appropriate levels for patients), with APPI training. She has been practicing acupuncture since 2007 and is AACP registered as well as HPC and CSP. She uses a range of treatment modalities: Soft tissues release, taping, manual therapy, acupuncture and Clinical rehabilitation in the treatment of patients and most importantly in the prevention of re-injury. Sheena qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2003 from Sheffield and subsequently worked in the NHS as a junior in Nottingham and at the Royal Free as a senior physiotherapist mentoring and teaching junior Physiotherapists. She is a keen learner and regular keeps up to date with her skills by attending Courses.
